Tête-à-Tête with the Entrepreneurs

The Training Sessions

START-UP EDGE

An interactive training session was held at Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana, conducted by Ms. Urvashi, a Financial Expert.  The participating students from other schools were also invited for the enriching experience. The subject of focus of the workshop was the Shark Tank challenge which revolves around the students role-playing as investors and debuting businessmen. The workshop started with the resource person introducing the basic concepts of the world of Start-Ups. The students were trained to design start-ups in an innovative manner and to develop and validate a salable business model.

The students engaged in an activity which involved half of the trainees acting as potential investors and the remaining as budding founders of Start-Ups. The latter had to pitch their product to the former, and effectively market it and convince the sharks to invest capital in their firms. This activity served as a valuable instrument in making the students well versed with the Shark Tanks challenge. It also developed their skills in the areas of innovating and marketing.

This session was insightful and helped the students hone their entrepreneurial caliber.
